The Parks and Recreation Department has something for everyone. So if you feel like getting away from it all, drop by one of the Town's recreation facilities -- the Tony Rose Memorial Sports Centre located at 40 Fead Street or the Alder Street Recreation Centre located at 275 Alder Street -- and enjoy some great recreational opportunities.

Many local sporting and recreational organizations offer programs at these facilities. In addition, the Town offers private rentals, public skating, a variety of swimming programs for all ages, public and family swims, summer camps for ages 5 to 13 and youth programs.

The Town has approximately 90 acres of active and passive parks, trails and sports fields for your use. Why not get out and explore the various parks and hike on the Orangeville trail system.

Parks and Recreation Strategic Plan 2010-2020

  • The Strategic Plan is intended to identify the way ahead for Parks and Recreation services in the Town of Orangeville over the next five to ten years. The Plan is a blueprint to assist the Council, the Department, its partners, and the entire community by identifying needs and priorities related to parks and recreation service and facilities.

Brochures

  • A Fall/Winter and Spring/Summer program brochure is circulated to keep the public informed about the different recreational programs offered within the community.
  • The Fall/Winter Children's Programs Pamphlet is NOW available online. A pamphlet can be picked up at one of the following locations: Alder Street Recreation Centre, Tony Rose Memorial Sports Centre, Library (both locations), Town Hall.

We look forward to seeing you at one of the Town's facilities, parks or just strolling along one of the many trails. So get out there and participate -- and get in motion!
